Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Shiraz to Kazeroon.
Kazeroon is considered as the gateway to the nomadic lands. The picturesque landscapes of vast plains and rolling hills along the road take you closer to the heart of nomadic territories. Along the way, you might catch glimpses of nomadic tents dotting the horizon, a preview of the enchanting encounters that await you. We will do a refreshing hike to visit the nomadic families in the mountains.
In the evening, settle into your accommodation which is a cozy guesthouse where you can savor the delicious local cuisine. As the sun sets over Kazeroon, you feel a sense of anticipation for the experiences that lie ahead. Tomorrow, you’ll venture deeper into the nomadic lands, embracing the beauty of simplicity and discovering the true essence of nomadic life.

Day 2: Exploring Bishapour, Shapour Cave and Connecting with Nomads.
Begin with a visit to the ancient city of Bishapour, a once-thriving metropolis, founded by the mighty Sassanid King Shapur I in the 3rd century CE.
Then we will hike to the Shapour Cave, located nearby. Listen attentively as your guide shares historical stories of ancient kings while being mesmerized by the profound beauty and the lush greenery surrounding you including the nomadic communities that call these lands their home. You’ll be introduced to nomadic families who graciously welcome you into their humble abodes. Immerse yourself in their daily routines, observing their traditional practices and gaining insights into their way of life.

Day 3: Journey to Farrashband.
Start a picturesque drive towards Farrashband. Rolling hills, verdant valleys, and vast open plains create a captivating backdrop, inviting you to embrace the serenity of the nomadic lands. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to visit and engage with nomads, immersing yourself in their traditional lifestyle.

Day 4: Venture to Firouzabad, Hiking, and Embracing Nomadic Hospitality.
Start a scenic drive towards Firouzabad, a city renowned for its historical treasures. Lace up your hiking boots, embrace the fresh air, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the surrounding mountains and valleys. We will have a nice hike to explore the magnificent Qal’eh Dokhtar on top of a mountain.
Then we will head to the nomadic communities nestled in the mountains or valleys. Seize the opportunity to visit these welcoming families and participate in their activities. As soon as we arrive in Firouzabad, we will explore the traditional bazaar of the city where most nomadic products are sold.

Day 5: Hiking in Hayqer Canyon.
Today you set out on an exhilarating adventure to Hayqer Canyon, where breathtaking landscapes await. Marvel at the rock formations and panoramic views that reward your efforts. Take the time to pause, breathe in the tranquillity, and let the serenity of the surroundings rejuvenate your soul.
Then we will head to the nomads where their warm hospitality awaits your arrival. You will share a meal with your hosts and savor the flavors of nomadic cuisine.

Day 6: Back to Shiraz, Last Visit with Nomads.
On the last day of the nomadic expedition, we will head back to Shiraz. Along the way, you have the opportunity to visit a dam and for the last time visit the nomadic communities that traverse the region.
