Irun2iran does an excellent job arranging individual and small group tours to Iran. I wanted to see sights that were not included in the World Heritage tour and they made them all possible. Nilufer, my guide in Rey and Tehran, was knowledgeable and a delight to be with; Amir, who was my driver/guide/translator for the rest of the country, became a highly respected good friend.

Iran is a fascinating country. The architectural wonders are truly stunning. The landscapes vary dramatically from snow-covered mountains in the north to extended deserts in the central and southern regions.

The guides help with recommendations for local cuisines and regional specialties; it is through their efforts that it is possible to get a glimpse of life beyond that which one would get from a packaged group tour. Iranians are famous for their hospitality, and people all over the country would come up to me and say, “Welcome to Iran.”
